Welcome back to DisforKids, where we talk about Disney as only a kid can tell it! I’m Sophie, and today we’ll be talking about the top 5 meet and greets in Magic Kingdom. Some of the things Disney is known for are their rides, food, and characters! Disney’s meet and greets are cool, fun, and interactive, and I wouldn’t consider it a proper trip to Disney without going to these meet and greets! So, let’s get into it!
- Pete’s Silly Sideshow: Pete’s Silly Sideshow is located in Storybook Circus, and it’s actually multiple meet in greets in one! You can meet Goofy as “The Great Goofini”, Donald as “The Astounding Donaldo”, Daisy as “Madam Daisy Fortuna”, and Pluto as “Pluto the Wonder Pup”. The good thing about this is that you wait in one line for four characters! This is a super fun meet and greet, and everyone should try it!
- Merida: Merida is one of the newer princesses, from the movie “Brave”. You can meet her in Fairytale Garden, which is right in between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, near Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and the Cheshire Cafe. This is a very interactive meet and greet. You actually have the opportunity to shoot a bow and arrow with Merida! The lines can get pretty long for this one, so go at a less crowded time.
- Country Bears: The Country Bears from the Country Bear Jamboree wander Frontierland at scattered times throughout the day. Shaker, Wendell, Liverlips, and Big Al can be seen. Usually, they stagger their times, so they may not all be out at the same time. Just wait a few minutes, and you will eventually see all of them. Also, they do not have a specific area, so there is no real line for them. These characters have been kind of rare until recently, so it’s cool to see them out and about regularly!
- Anastasia and Drizella: Anastasia and Drizella (better known as the stepsisters from “Cinderella”) can be found by the entrance to Fantasyland near the Tangled bathrooms. The stepsisters have on their full ballgowns from the movie, which makes it fun. They also have the same snobby accents that brings their characters to life. Anastasia and Drizella are a really fun meet and greet, especially if you love “Cinderella”.
- Stitch: This one’s for my brother, whose favorite character ever is Stitch. Stitch can be found in Tomorrowland, at the location of the old Stitch’s Great Escape attraction. Stitch is just a really fun meet and greet, because of his character. He is so funny and interactive, which really makes this meet and greet special. Stitch is really cool, funny, and an all-around good meet and greet.
Well, there you have it! These are my top 5 meet and greets in Magic Kingdom. All of these meet and greets are really fun, interactive, and just plain cool! I hope this list was helpful in deciding which meet and greets to try out. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next time on DisforKids!
