Welcome back to DisforKids, where we talk about Disney as only a kid can tell it! I’m Sophie, and today I’ll be talking about my top 5 rides in Disney California Adventure. I went to Disneyland a few years ago, and it was great! I loved both parks and it was just amazing. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
- Radiator Springs Racers: Radiator Springs Racers is a fun racing ride, similar to Test Track, but way better! Along with the high speed race at the end, throughout the ride, there are various show scenes with all of your favorite CarsĀ characters as Audio Animatronics! Sheriff, Mater, Lightning McQueen, Sally, Luigi, Ramone, and Doc Hudson all help you get ready for the big race. All of these Audio Animatronics use projected face technology, resulting in super fluid and lifelike movements. The cool thing about this ride is that you can have two different experiences depending on which way you go: Cars on the left will go through Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and cars on the right will go through Ramone’s House of Body Art. This ride is super fun, and me and my brother had our hands up multiple times.
- California Screamin’: Alright, I know that now it’s the Incredicoaster, but when I rode it, it was California Screamin’, and the ride itself has not changed, so deal with it. California Screamin’ is an awesome rollercoaster with loops, twists, turns, and drops throughout the ride. You launch off into a tube, and the ride continues with the thrills from there. Eventually, you go into a loop and lots of drops. This ride is really fun. I was actually really scared at first, but as soon as it started I loved it!
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: Again, I know this is now Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! but I haven’t ridden it as this, so I’m just going to go with what I know. Tower of Terror is a great ride that drops and pulls you up at great speeds. My favorite part is how when you go from a drop to going up really quickly, you can actually float up a little bit! My family calls this “air time”. My mom refuses to ride this ride, but the rest of us ride it anyway!
- Soarin’ Over the World: Soarin’ is a ride in a hanglider over some beautiful landmarks around the world. Admittedly, I have not ridden the California version, but I have done the Florida one, and they’re basically the same thing. This ride is really cool, and it is a nice break from the outside, but also from the classic dark ride. You travel over landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, and Iguazu Falls. These places are truly beautiful, and I love this ride so much!
- Goofy’s Sky School: Goofy’s Sky School is a fun, little coaster located in the Paradise Gardens Park area of Disney California Adventure. Okay, so it may not be the first thing you think of, but it is actually really fun! My brother and I rode this together, and we were laughing and screaming the whole time. This is often looked over when compared to California Screamin’ or the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but it is really fun. I would definitely recommend this for younger kids, or just anyone!
So, there you have it, guys! I hope you enjoyed my list and found it helpful. I love everything on this list, and I hope you do too if you ride them. I’ll see you next time on DisforKids!
