- Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain: Expedition Everest is a roller coaster located in Asia that reaches a top speed of 50 mph and also goes backwards. This is probably my favorite ride in all of Disney World! I’m pretty sure my dad, brother and I rode it 5 or 6 times the last time we were there! I love the thrilling twists and turns and big drops. The Yeti animatronic close to the end is also pretty cool. My little brother and I used to close our eyes when it got to it because we thought it was scary. My favorite part of this ride is when you go backwards and you go up, so it feels like you’re going upside down! This ride is super fun and I wouldn’t consider it a trip to Disney without riding it.
- Kilimanjaro Safaris: Kilimanjaro Safaris is a bumpy ride through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve located in Africa. You ride on a safari vehicle through different habitats of animals. There are elephants, giraffes, lions, and much more! I like the nighttime safari better than the daytime safari because it’s a lot prettier and there’s more animals out. One time when we were younger, we really wanted to ride it one last time but the park was about to close. So, my parents were pushing me and my brother in strollers, my mom was crying and my dad was like, “We have to ride it!” We were running through the park and when we finally got there, we rode the last safari of the day. It was awesome!
- Flight of Passage: Flight of Passage is a totally awesome ride located in Pandora: World of Avatar. I rode this for the first time last Thanksgiving and I loved it! It is totally immersive and you feel like you’re really there. You “link” to a Avatar and your guide takes you on a journey through Pandora. The first time we rode it, my mom kept freaking out because the link chair was vibrating against her and it was really funny. My brother, cousin, and I rode this twice in one day because of a rider swap my aunt and uncle got so we had a lot of fun.
- Primeval Whirl: Primeval Whirl is a coaster located in Dinoland, U.S.A. that takes you back in time right before the meteor hits. It spins around and goes backwards at times. There are a couple of decent sized drops that are pretty fun. The last time I was at Disney, I rode this with my brother and 2 of our friends and we kept sliding into each other. The first time my brother rode this, it got stuck and we had to get walked off. He was so mad! Fortunately, we got to ride it in the next couple days.
- Dinosaur: Dinosaur is a trip back in time to rescue a dinosaur before the meteor hits. It is also in Dinoland, U.S.A. This ride is sort of jerky, but that’s what makes it fun for me. Dinosaur has some really cool Audio-Animatronics of giant dinos. I used to be scared of this ride, but now I love it! There’s some really funny pictures of me when I was younger with my head down and my hands over my ears because I was scared. This is a really fun ride and if you’ve ridden the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland, it’s the same ride vehicle.
Animal Kingdom is probably my favorite park in Disney World and I love the way it feels. I always feel like it’s less crowded than the closeness of the other parks. I love these rides and they definitely deserve to be on this list. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next time on DisforKids!
